Ahead of the inaugural Walsall Awards, we brought together businesses, charities, sports clubs and community organisations from across the borough for an evening of introductions over something to eat.
It was a chance for people working on very different things in the same place to meet properly — and a reminder of how much is already going on across Walsall that deserves recognition. Many of the conversations that evening have since turned into nominations.
Nominations for the Walsall Awards 2026 remain open across sixteen categories. If you met someone that evening whose work deserves a wider audience, you can put their name forward.
