Broadcaster Nikki Tapper MBE has become an Ambassador for the inaugural Walsall Awards.
Nikki has more than twenty-five years in broadcasting and teaching, and received her MBE for services to broadcasting and the community. She moved to Walsall from Erdington two and a half years ago, has family in Gillity Village, and studied at the University of Wolverhampton’s Walsall campus.
On why the borough deserves its own awards, she said it matters that “smaller provincial towns and cities have some recognition” — not only the big cities next door.
Ali Mahmood, co-founder and Chair of Trustees, said: “Nikki’s warmth, experience and genuine commitment to celebrating others perfectly reflect everything our awards stand for.”
Nikki joins a growing group of Ambassadors, trustees and judges from across the borough — you can meet them all on our people page.
